One article says ok to store mixed but not cooked dumplings a day in fridge or frozen for months.
To serve. Defrost in fridge, as needed. Put raw dumplings on top of soup, cook together & then serve.
In practice, I like the freezer storage better, but do what's convenient or easier for you.
