While I do not work for Food52 and have no influence over recipe submissions, I would like to request that people submitting recipes check them over carefully, maybe even give them to a friend to try before submitting them. Just about every day there's at least one hotline question about a recipe where the description, ingredient list and instructions just don't match up- ingredients are listed and not used in the instructions, or things are used but not listed, or the recipe is described as containing something that just isn't there. While it's fun for me and some of the hotline regulars to go through and try to figure out what the author meant, and authors often answer for themselves, it's got to be pretty frustrating for the people trying to make the recipe and does Food 52's credibility as a recipe source no good.
