A question about lard

Hi all. My power went out in the storm last weekend, so I'm tossing most of the contents of my fridge. Any idea if my quart-sized jar of rendered leaf lard will be ok at room temperature (70 degrees or so) for a few days?

A lot of people never refrigerate at all, so you should be fine. Lard can go rancid though, so even if you keep it in the refrigerator or freezer, it's a good idea to give it a good sniff before using it.
