While making a fresh batch of turmeric tea last week, finally a lightbulb went off. I used a fork to hold the root to escape orange-stained hands! To make the tea mix 2 parts freshly grated turmeric + 1 part freshly freshly grated ginger. Add freshly ground pepper and honey, taste (I go heavy on the pepper; light on the honey). Add fresh squeezed lemon; stir with a fork to make a slurry. Add a teaspoon of the mixture to very hot (not boiling) water, and another fresh squeeze of lemon before drinking. Such a refreshing way to start the day.

You're very welcome! I drink it all day long. Also, I find the fresh root to taste much better than the ground turmeric (too bitter).
