Author Notes
Way back in the summer of 1973, I was a study abroad student in Cortona, Italy (pre Frances Mayes' "Under the Tuscan Sun" infamy). We traveled many times to Florence and one of our favorite haunts was Harry's Bar and American Grill. Their hamburgers and an amazing peach and gin cocktail called 'Roger" kept us coming back time and again.
I've tried to recreate this fine peach concoction and hope you'll find it as refreshing as I do. Surprisingly, it is not as sweet as you'd expect.

*I recommend Looza brand Peach Juice Drink found in specialty food stores. If peach nectar is your only option, you may need to dilute with water and/or add more lemon juice. This cocktail should have a balanced freshness and not be too sweet.
