Simple Glazed Carrots


Author Notes: The preparation of the carrots is very specific, so stay on track. Once cooked, the carrots are delicious and addictive. Slightly adapted from Martha Stewartjack112

Serves 4

  • 9 carrots, quartered and cut into 2-inch lengths
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • A large pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Fresh ground pepper
  1. In a skillet bring the carrots, sugar, butter, salt, and 1/2 a cup of water to a boil. Add the cinnamon and stir. Reduce heat; simmer, partly covered, 6 minutes.
  2. Cook uncovered, over high heat, tossing often until tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a bowl. Season with pepper.
