Ingredients
  • 3.5 ounces 85% dark chocolate bar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups organic sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 farm fresh eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Line a square baking pan with parchment paper (and butter the unlined sides).
  3. Melt butter and chocolate (a copper-bottomed Turkish coffee pot is really ideal) and allow to cool a few minutes.
  4. whisk in sugar. Temper egg mix with a little bit of the cooled chocolate. Whisk in all the chocolate.
  5. Fold in the flour and salt.
  6. Bake 25 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
  7. Or top with fresh strawberries and hand out forks.
  8. Cool and lift out of the pan using the parchment paper.

I had the same problem as Angel. But used a ceramic pan... I baked it for 10 more minutes and it was still very soggy. I think if I had used the fan to bake it, it would have been better. The brownies turned out very moist in the end and rather too sweet for my taste. I think I'll use 1,5 cups of sugar next time and maybe up the flour a little...

Angel. I'm new to this and am not receiving notifications by email. Did your brownies set up in the end? I use a square ceramic pan so not sure if that makes a difference. I'm about to bake them again right now (melting chocolate is the only thing I use my mate's Turkish coffee pot for since I don't drink the stuff).

These are in the oven right now. Having some problems though, my brownies have been in the oven for 50 minutes now at 350F and they're still wet in the middle :( The outer edges are over done and the middle isn't! I used an glass 8 x 8 pan and followed the recipe to a T.

Yes because we all have a copper-bottomed Turkish coffee pot on hand. But the recipe sound delish!
