Turn down the thermostat, sit out on the porch; this mulled cider drink will warm you from the inside out. —Erik Lombardo

What You'll Need

Ingredients

1 ounce Applejack
1 ounce SNAP
¹/₄ ounce Allspice Dram, or substitute a sprinkle of fresh allspice
5 ounces Hot apple cider, or more or less to taste
Orange twist studded with clove, for garnish

Directions

Heat apple cider until simmering then add alcoholic ingredients and garnish with clove-studded orange twist. Drink slowly, allowing each sip to strip away another level of tension.

I'd never heard of Snap either. From the website Cindie mentioned:

"Inspired by the Lebkuchen recipe, Snap Organic Liqueur is created from blackstrap molasses, clove, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, rooibos tea, vanilla and pure cane sugar."

And allspice dram is a rum-based liqueur with clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper.
