Franklin Stove, a.k.a. Boozy Mulled Cider

Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Applejack
  • 1 ounce SNAP
  • 1/4 ounce Allspice Dram, or substitute a sprinkle of fresh allspice
  • 5 ounces Hot apple cider, or more or less to taste
  • Orange twist studded with clove, for garnish

Directions

  1. Heat apple cider until simmering then add alcoholic ingredients and garnish with clove-studded orange twist. Drink slowly, allowing each sip to strip away another level of tension.

I'd never heard of Snap either. From the website Cindie mentioned:<br /><br />"Inspired by the Lebkuchen recipe, Snap Organic Liqueur is created from blackstrap molasses, clove, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, rooibos tea, vanilla and pure cane sugar." <br /><br />And allspice dram is a rum-based liqueur with clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper.<br />
