Author Notes: When faced with a bucket of limequats, which I got on sale without ever having tried this lovely cross between a lime and a kumquat, first I made this twist on a classic gimlet – and loved it.lem monade

Serves: 1

  • 50 milliliters gin
  • 15-20 milliliters freshly squeezed limequat juice + a slice for garnish
  • 20 milliliters simple syrup (I used orange scented one left over from my last orangette batch)
  • ice
  1. Shake gin and limequat juice with plenty of ice and strain into a glass or – my preference – simply pour it out with the slightly crushed ice. Garnish with a slice of limequat.
