This recipe was inspired by one I saw in Shape Magazine, but I added additional ingredients for more flavor and texture. This recipe is perfect for a light snack, taco filling, or dip for your next party. —Natalia Marulanda

  • Makes about 2 cups
  • 1 small can of chickpeas
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 lime
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 4 scallions
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 red onion
In This Recipe
  1. Give all of the ingredients (except the chickpeas, lime, and salt) a rough chop.
  2. Add all of the ingredients into a food processor, add the juice of 1 lime, and the salt.
  3. Blend until smooth
