Author Notes

Turmeric is known for being an amazing anti-inflammatory, for stimulating the complete digestion of proteins and for preventing the creation of toxins. This alone makes it a staple on my spice shelf, the fact that it tastes great, adds an amazing colour to anything it touches (mind your white shirts!) and can be used in so many different ways, is an added bonus! I wanted to try it in my morning oatmeal, as it's a somewhat ritual of mine to have oatmeal each morning, and the result was great. You do need the cinnamon to balance out the flavour and sweeten it up, but I feel great knowing that I have given my gut a great anti-inflammatory hit at the start of my day. —The All Natural Cure

Directions
  1. Measure the oats, hemp milk, water and spices into a saucepan.

I have a turmeric oatmeal occasionally too; I add some ground ginger to mine along with the cinnamon and a little sweetening.
