Straight from my Japanese mother's kitchen -this sauce is simple, delicious and lasts for up to 6 months! —taleoftwocities

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mirin
  • 1 cup sake
  • 1 cup soy sauce
Directions
  1. Combine ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3 minutes and store in air-tight jar for up to 6 months in the fridge.
  2. Add to salmon (my personal favorite), chicken or any other protein of your choice when 75% cooked through. Note: the longer you cook the sauce, the thicker it becomes.
