Author Notes
When I don't have any granola in my fridge, I make this instead, and sprinkle it atop yogurt. Be bold with your salt. —Marian Bull
Ingredients
-
Old-fashioned oats
-
Walnuts, lightly crushed with your hands
-
Cinnamon
-
Good flaky salt
Directions
-
Combine all ingredients but the salt in a dry skillet, adapting the nut-oat ratio depending on your preference. Start with just a shake of cinnamon. Toast over low heat, stirring or shaking, until the oats turn a light golden color and you can smell the nuts toasting. Add a good pinch of salt.
-
Sprinkle this over a bowl of yogurt, and stir in some fresh fruit or jam. If you can get your hands on savory yogurt or labneh, try it drizzled with best-quality olive oil. (And maybe even some roasted carrots?)
