Author Notes

This salted caramel dip is perfect for dipping apples or drizzling over ice cream. It's made with coconut sugar which not only makes it healthier but adds a deeper, bolder flavor. This dip is so good you may find yourself, spoon in hand, wondering "who needs apples anyway?" —prairiekuchen

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 1 cup coconut sugar or sucanat
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
Directions
  1. In a saucepan, pour in the coconut sugar and water. Boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in cream - this boils up so be careful! Add salt, butter and vanilla. Cool.
