No Knife Necessary Brisket

Author Notes: My mom's best friends came up with this recipe and it was passed to me when I moved away for college. This brisket is tender and juicy that it falls apart with a fork.Marissa Lightningbolt Brown

Makes: 1- 5lb brisket

  • 1- 5lb brisket
  • 1 packet Liptons onion soup mix (dry)
  • 1 cup White wine
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup Golden brown sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Mix together soup mix, wine, ketchup, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Trim brisket and place in casserole dish. Pour mixture over brisket and cover tightly with foil to steam. Cook for 4 hours at 325. Let cool or freeze for later use.
