Author Notes: Dying for a cocktail that isn't a Mint Julep this Derby Day? The Derby is a classic that has somewhat fallen out of favor, unlike the big hats still synonymous with the Kentucky Derby. However, don't let that stop you from enjoying this brilliant bit of bourbon. This recipe is modified from Ted “Doctor Cocktail” Haigh’s personal favorite that made appearance in his 2009 book.Cocktails, 365
