Ingredients
  • Apple layer
  • 4 apples
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Cake
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 3 cups flour
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Core and thinly slice apples
  3. Combine apples, sugar, and cinnamon, and set aside
  4. Cream together oil, sugar, and eggs, till well combined
  5. Add vanilla and orange juice until combined
  6. Add baking powder and flour
  7. In a greased tube pan, alternate layers of batter and apple mixture, beginning and ending with batter. Batter layers should be very thin
  8. Bake 1 hour

Hello! I added a half tsp of ginger, allspice and cloves. I added a TBS of orange zest. It's wonderful!
