Author Notes: I like to experiment with smoothie ingredients, and when I saw that trader joe's stocks frozen figs, I was so excited. This recalls some of the fantastic smoothies I've had in the Middle East - the sweetness of honey and dates provides a really nice counterpoint to the nutty almond milk and tang/fruitiness of the yogurt and figs. I find it most satisfying as a thick smoothie, but feel free to play with proportions until it fits your preference! —lazychef
Makes 1 large smoothie
- 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup greek yogurt
- 3-4 frozen figs
- 4 dates, pitted and roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Combine ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. (You may need to quarter the frozen figs before blending, depending on the strength of your blender). Add more almond milk to thin it out if desired.
