Author Notes: This is what I call an "emergency cocktail." No need to make a simple syrup, a fancy garnish or buy an obscure liquor. Juice a lemon (or lime), add whatever jam you have in your fridge and a splash (make it two) of Gin. Shake a serve laaaaaaaid back. —Grant Melton
ounce lemon juice
tablespoon jam (I prefer strawberry or Concord grape)
- Fill a cocktail shaker (or glass jar) with ice and add gin, lemon juice and jam. Shake vigorously. Pour over ice into a glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
