Easy to prepare chicken gyros prepared with a flavorful spice rub for the chicken, cooked stove top then placed in flat bread and topped with a homemade creamy dill ranch sauce. —Dash of Amy
Ingredients
- Chicken Spice Rub

chicken breasts, cut in the center

1/4 teaspoon
allspice

1/2 teaspoon
garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon
Mrs. Dash onion & herb

3/4 teaspoon
cajun seasoning

1 teaspoon
salt

1/2 teaspoon
pepper

3 tablespoons
olive oil

4-6
flat breads
-
sliced tomatoes, lettuce, onions
- Creamy Dill Ranch Sauce

bunch fresh dill
-

garlic cloves
-
1/2
cucumber, peeled and cubed

3/4 cup
sour cream
-
1/3 cup
mayonnaise

2 tablespoons
Parmesan cheese
-
3 tablespoons
organic whole milk

1 tablespoon
lemon juice

garlic clove

1 teaspoon
salt

1/2 teaspoon
pepper
Directions
- Chicken Spice Rub

Mix all spices together in a small bowl.

Add olive oil and mix well.

Spread the rub all over the chicken breasts.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and add about 2 tsp olive oil, then chicken.

Cook until chicken is done, transfer to a plate to cool. Slice in strips for gyros.
- Creamy Dill Ranch Sauce

Place dill, garlic, and cucumber in a food processor, and mix on high until finely chopped.

Place in a medium mixing bowl, and add other ingredients mixing well.

Use foil to wrap the gyro, having the foil cover half of the wrap. Place chicken down the center, and drizzle the sauce, then top with lettuce, tomato, and onions if desired. Roll up sealing the end with foil, and enjoy!
