Six Spice Blend

This blend gives a warm, complex flavor to banana bread, stout cake, and anything holiday oriented. —Jim Kennedy

  • Prep time 5 minutes
  • Makes 1/2 cup
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon star anise
  • 1 teaspoon clove
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
In This Recipe
  1. Combine ingredients in bowl, whisk together. For a finer powder, pulse in spice grinder for 5-10 seconds.
  2. Store in glass container in cool, dry place.
