Baked Brie with Roasted Nuts and Figs

November 2, 2018

Author Notes: This recipe is an insanely quick recipe for a party. The presentation is stunning in a cast iron, especially once you cut into the brie and the cheese oozes from the casing. What We Eat Gals

  1. Preheat oven to 375. Place cheese in the middle of a medium sized cast iron skillet.
  2. Warm vinegar in a pot over medium-low heat until hot. Add fig jam and stir until jam is thin and syrupy. Brush half of the mixture over brie in a thick layer.
  3. Mix nuts, sliced dried figs, and remaining fig jam mixture in a bowl. Spoon over top of cheese, creating a thick layer. Mixture will fall off on to side, that's okay!
  4. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, until brie is soft inside. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes to let cheese rest for a bit and cool before you cut into it. Finish with salt and serve with your favorite crackers.
  5. **Recipe can be made ahead of time and chilled until ready to bake.
