Author Notes
Ground pork helps moisten up the ground beef, especially if grass-fed. If you've never tried this with burgers before, you're in for a real treat! Plus the addition of added fruit, whoa.
Note: if you like your burgers rare, please only use beef, as undercooked pork can be harmful.

1 pound
ground pork

2 teaspoons
salt

1 cup
Bow Hill Organic Heirloom Dried Blueberries
-
1 tablespoon
honey balsamic redux

Directions
-
Mix beef, pork, salt, dried blueberries and redux together. Shape into patties. Place on heated grill or stovetop.
-
When cooking, ensure that the patty temperature moves beyond 150˚F. If only using beef, 2 pounds of beef can be used and cooked rare.
-
Once the patties are almost done (if you'd like) place some blue cheese on top of the patties and cook until melted.
-
Set on bottom bun. Then place pickled blueberries, soaked red onions, blue cheese (if you didn't melt onto patties), and arugula atop the patty and set the top bun on.
-
Optional: serve with fried potatoes.
