Quick....if decadent hors d'oeuvre...Shrimp and Oysters Wrapped in Bacon. An unlikely and Awesome combination!
I don't know his name....but this recipe was given to me by an oilfield hand was I was working as a cook years ago. —quasimodo69
1lb cold bacon. sliced down the middle to cut the strips in half.
Drain your oysters and have your shrimp ready in a bowl.
Buy shrimp large...about 20 count- peeled and de-veined
on a sheet pan take your half bacon strips and lay them across each other to form a cross
Place 2 shrimp head to tail in the center of the bacon cross. This will form a small whole in the center of the shrimp to add one oyster.
Fold the bacon over to wrap the shrimp and oyster.
Hold it together and stick a toothpick into the center
Baking time is about 10 min at 375.Of course you may vary the backing time to your taste and oven....so keep an eye on your first batch.
When the bacon begins to brown it is done.
Remember...shrimp or oysters take very little time to cook.
