I've been making this salad since I was nine. That's 50 years ago! My grandfather taught me how to make it. —Kendall Boggs

Ingredients
  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 5 radishes sliced
  • 10 cherry tomatoes sliced
  • 5 chopped green tail onions
  • 3 smashed garlic cloves
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch garlic powder to taste (the more the better)
  • 10 chopped green onion
  • 1/2 cup olive oil (do not mix with vinegar)
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar(do not mix with oil)
Directions
  1. Chop onions, tomatoes, olives, garlic, radishes. Also add chopped cucumbers if you like. Mix up seasonings as well and let that all marry for about 10 minutes. Gently tear the lettuce into small pieces. I put a cover on the bowl and shake to mix and marry all ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Also, I love to top with fried goat cheese (that's another recipe) but slice the goat cheese with dental floss. Dredge in a beaten egg and coat with Italian bread crumbs. Fry them up! summers!
