Ingredients
-
2/3 cup
water
-
5 tablespoons
unsalted butter
-
3/4 cup
all purpose flour
-
2 tablespoons
white sugar
-
1/2 teaspoon
salt
-
1/2 teaspoon
baking powder
-
1/2 teaspoon
vanilla extract

2

1/2 cup
sugar grains (if you don't find it, not common in U.S., break some sugar cubes)
-
1
egg yolk
Directions
-
In a big sauce pan, melt the butter with the water at medium heat.
-
When it boils, add flour, salt and baking powder. Stir with a spatula until the dought detaches to the edges. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
-
Add first the white sugar, then, add one egg and stir. Then, the other egg and stir again.
-
Pre-heat the oven at 410°F.
-
Pour the dought in an icing bag and form small chouquettes. Use a simple round tip. Brush the top with egg yolk and some sugar grains.
-
Place in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. When it's lightly brown, it's ready!
