Asian Sliders With Red Cabbage Slaw

A delicious Asian burger with soy sauce, ginger, and cilantro, finished off with a red cabbage cole slaw that is jam packed with flavor. —Dash of Amy

Ingredients
  • Burgers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger (or squeezeable paste)
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 mini burger buns
  • Red Cabbage Slaw
  • 1/4 head red cabbage, cut in large strips
  • 2 carrots, peeled
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled
  • 3 green onions, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons brown rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions
  1. Burgers
  2. Combine burger ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Use your hands to incorporate the ingredients.
  3. Shape into mini patties.
  4. Heat a frying pan over medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  5. Cook burgers 4-5 minutes on each side until done.
  1. Red Cabbage Slaw
  2. Shred the cabbage, carrots, and cucumber in a food processor, or using a shredder. Place in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Place a burger in a mini bun and top generously with the slaw mixture.
