There’s almost no easier way to prep bacon for breakfast. I like to cook a pound at a time, and then take out a few pieces every day for breakfast. The final searing heats them beautifully, and they’ll be ready for your breakfast plate in as little as fifty seconds. —Jenna Passaro, SipBiteGo

Bacon

1-3 tablespoons
Brown sugar

1 teaspoon
smoked salt
Directions

Preheat sous vide machine to 142º. Transfer bacon from packaging to a sous vide bag. Add salt and vacuum seal bag.

Sous vide bacon at 142ºF for 8 hours.

Once done in the sous vide bath, transfer bacon to a paper towel lined cutting board. Pat bacon dry.

Press brown sugar into one side of the bacon.

Heat a large skillet to medium-high and add sugared bacon. Sear each side about 30-60 seconds, until bacon gets crispy. Once done, transfer to a paper towel lined cutting board and serve.
