Garlic Cheese Knots

Amazing garlic knots made from scratch using homemade pizza dough, and coated with garlic butter. Simple to make and restaurant quality. —Dash of Amy

Ingredients
  • Pizza Dough
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • Garlic Butter
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1-2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
Directions
  1. Pizza Dough
  2. Place all ingredients in a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment, and turn on to setting 2.
  3. Run for 8 minutes, then carefully pull the dough out shaping into a smooth ball; spray mixing bowl with cooking spray and place dough back in.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and let the dough sit 1-2 hours, or until double in size.
  5. Cut the dough into 15 equal size pieces, spray your work surface with cooking spray and roll each piece into a rope.
  6. Tie the rope into a knot, tucking in the top pieces under the knot; place in greased baking pan.
  7. Bake at 400* for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

  2. In a small saucepan melt the butter, then add the garlic, salt, and parsley.
  3. Spoon over the cooked dough knots.
  4. Sprinkle with a light dusting of Parmesan cheese, and serve!
