Author Notes

These brownies are soft, slightly fudgy, and not too sweet. The dark chocolate flavor goes great with a cup of coffee. —Elina

  • 1 tablespoon Cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 50 grams Dark chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 grams Cane sugar
  • Wet Ingredients
  • 230 milliliters Unsweetened plant-based milk (I use soy)
  • 5 tablespoons Canola oil

  • 150 grams Dark chocolate
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Line the pan with parchment paper
  2. Mix together the all the dry ingredients except for the chocolate chips in a bowl, and all the wet ingredients except for the dark chocolate in another
  3. Break the dark chocolate into a heat-safe bowl, and melt the chocolate by bain-marie (preferably) or microwave
  4. Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture, stir until mostly combined, and add the melted chocolate and chocolate chips. Mix again with a spatula, so that the melted chocolate is evenly incorporated in the batter
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting
