Indian meals are often accompanied by Raita, a yogurt-based side dish that is healthy and delicious. This version is made with Kachoombar, a quintessential North Indian salad containing chopped cucumber, tomato, onion, and cilantro – one of our favorite raitas. Great with dishes made with Masala Mama Sauces.

What You'll Need
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 6 grape tomatoes, quartered, or 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 Persian cucumber, diced
  • 1 small bunch fresh cilantro, chopped, about ¼ cup
  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • A pinch of sugar
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Adjust salt to taste. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
