Deliciously different casserole that we use for Thanksgiving. Even Non Rutabaga lovers will love it! Passed to me from my Canadian mother in law. —Picholine

Ingredients

8 cups
Large dice Rutabaga

1 teaspoon
Salt
-
1/4 cup
Heavy Cream
-
1/2t teaspoons
Nutmeg

2 tablespoons
Brown Sugar

Eggs beaten

2 tablespoons
Butter melted

1/4 cup
Toasted pecans on top (optional)
Directions

Boil Rutabagas until soft.

When cooled, place in Food Processor and purée till smooth
-
Place puréed Rutabaga in a large bowl and mix in the other ingredients:salt,cream,nutmeg,sugar, eggs and melted butter.
Mix well till all incorporated.

Place in a 2 quart casserole dot with butter (optional)
Bake in a preheated oven at 350° For 35-45 minutes

Make ahead at least a day!
