Salty pastries with cheese and butter

These Salty pastries with cheese and butter are very easy to make. They are soft inside and crunchy outside. A great treat when watching movies with family.
Ingredients
- 400 gram whole wheat flour
- 500 gram cream cheese
- 200 gram butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 piece egg yolk
- 30 gram sesame seeds

- Step 1
Pour the flour, salt, and diced butter into a large bowl, and combine everything well with your hands.
- Step 2
Add cheese and knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
- Step 3
Wrap the dough in transparent foil and leave it in the fridge for at least 1 hour to set. You can leave the dough to rest in the fridge up to overnight.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Step 5
Flatten the dough with a rolling pin on a flat surface to a thickness of about 1 cm. Use a sharp knife to make notches in the dough as in the picture above. Using a round cup, take the circular shapes out of the dough, then arrange them on a baking tray.
- Step 6
Spread egg yolk on each cake and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the cakes turn golden.
