We were advancing toward the base of mount Algathorn; the light was dim. My men were hungry from battle. Behold! A crate of fairy bread. Look! A vat full of lard - discarded by a band of men who fled upon our arrival. Nearby, we found a mound of salt, fit to feed an army. And then, one of my generals reported to me he had found several hundred swine, freshly slaughtered, probably by a group of rebels. Their skin served nicely.

We mixed everything, for approximately 9 hours and 28 minutes. We then allowed it to cure for 12 hours and 30 minutes. By this time, my men were irate with hunger.

I then unsheathed my sword and began to slice, making approximately 5,000 sandwiches.

My men were satisfied. We went on to conquer Algathorn, and I am now their king. Thanks to these lard sandwiches.
