To make delicious duck breasts, you need to have some chili, mint, and lime. That's why I love this recipe - so simple and so delicious! —Anna Vorobiova
Ingredients
-
2
duck breasts
-
1/2
lime
-
2 tablespoons
mint leaves, finely sliced
-
1 sprig
thyme
-
1 tablespoon
chili pepper, finely diced
-
2 teaspoons
5 peppers mix
-
salt and pepper to taste
-
1 tablespoon
olive oil
Directions
-
Make a cross incision in the duck breasts skin. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
-
Place breasts in a cold non-stick pan, skin side down; don't use oil. Fry over medium heat for about 8 minutes to drain the fat and turn the skin golden.
-
Preheat oven to 180 C/350 F. Transfer breasts to a wire rack and place on the middle oven shelf. Cook for 10-15 minutes, depending on the doneness you want.
-
In the meantime, prepare the dressing. Drain fat from the pan in which the duck was cooked. Heat some olive oil, add chili, mint, sauté for a few seconds. Then squeeze out the lime juice, stir again and remove from heat.
-
Remove duck breasts from the oven and leave for 5 minutes at room temperature. Then slice, pour-over mint-chili dressing, and enjoy!
