Author Notes
A ham and cheese sandwich is such a comfort, but doesn’t necessarily stand out much. Here, we change that by elevating the components— from the bread (hearty and flavorful Arnold®, Brownberry®, or Oroweat® Sweet Multigrain Sandwich Buns) to the cheese (go for the best you can find). A little softened Dijon butter and a swipe of apricot jam adds richness and a bit of sweetness, which pairs nicely with the savory ham. —Posie (Harwood) Brien
