I finally put my hands on the famous based feta pasta dish. To be honest, I haven't even seen the original recipe, or the other variations that people were doing. I just did my own take on using the three main ingredients: feta, tomatoes and pasta. I added whole garlic cloves, tomatoes, thyme and good olive oil. It turned out absolutely fantastic, full with flavors and super comforting. —Madona Giorgadze

Ingredients
  • 1 packet feta
  • 1 pound cherry or other tomatoes
  • 1 packet pasta
  • 1 garlic head
  • Handful thyme
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt, pepper
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 450.
  2. Place feta in the middle of the deep baking dish, add tomatoes, thyme and garlic cloves around, drizzle olive oil, sprinkle salt and pepper and place it in the oven for 300-35 minutes until the tomatoes are fully roasted and the feta is golden brown.
  3. While the feta and tomatoes are baking, cook pasta. Strain and put aside.
  4. After the feta and tomatoes are done, mash everything (discard the garlic peels. Add pasta and toss well. Garnish with some fresh thyme leaves.
