Ingredients
  • For the cocktail:
  • 1 1/4 parts Basil Hayden® Kentucky Straight Bourbon
  • 1 part apple cordial
  • 1/2 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 part Cynar
  • 1/2 part Nux Alpina Walnut Liqueur
  • Soda water
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish
  • For the apple cordial:
  • 1 cup fresh Gala apple juice
  • 1 cup sugar
Directions
  1. For the cocktail:
  2. Combine the Basil Hayden® Kentucky Straight Bourbon, apple cordial, lemon juice, Cynar, and walnut liqueur in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously to combine.
  3. Fine-strain the cocktail into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top off the drink with soda water and garnish with a torched cinnamon stick.
  1. For the apple cordial:
  2. Combine the apple juice and sugar in a medium saucepan set over medium heat. Bring up to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
