Author Notes

General purpose ratio our family uses for "fish sauce" (diluted/mixed fish sauce used as a dipping sauce in Viet cuisine). The ratio is a guideline as fish sauce brand, sugar type, and other factors can influence taste.

The ratio is 0.5:0.5:1:2:3! Really easy to remember and multiply by.

We use Red Boat fish sauce exclusively, and granulated and unbleached cane sugar. —yuelogy
