This is a nice tasting light recipe of food, for all seasons.
-A)INGREDIENTS:
-One bag peas from super market (it can be frozen or you can keep it out of refrigerator)
-One big cup white or yellow rice
-Three-four big fresh tomatoes or (optional) a tin of smashed tomatoes
-Salt
-Pepper
-One big green pepper
-1/2 of teaspoonfull sugar
-balsamico or red wine, approximately (optional)
-one dry onion
B) PREPARATION
-We put the tomatoes in blender and smash them, or we choose to take tomatoes in tin from super market, one tin of fresh smashed tomatoes
-We put the tomatoes in a casserole on stove and we add, some salt, pepper, and we also cut the green pepper into small pieces to fit
-We cut the onion in to pieces in the sauce
-Then we put the peas, from bag, by estimating quantity approximately
-We let the mix boil for around 10 minutes at 170 C,
-when it's close to be done, but still enough time left for it, we add the cup of rice, and we mix.
-We let mix boil for 10-15 min
-as soon as it's almost done, we add sugar as above and some balsamico, or (optional) half a small glass red wine,
We mix all this and we leave it on stove till it gets completely done
-We serve in plates, it's ready, in winte with wine and in summer with beer-
