Author Notes

Beetroots are an important part of a vegetarian diet because they are rich in iron, in silicone and folic acid. They really can be beneficial for women's healthy reproductive system.

In Ayurveda, we use them as a tonic for the digestive system and the blood. As beets are helpful when you suffer from constipation and hemorrhoids. You can juice them or you can make this pate for toast to get your daily dose.

You will enjoy this pate ๐Ÿ™‚ Store covered in the fridge for up to 3-5 days. โ€”Amrita Ma Devi

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 2 cups soaked sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brewers yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan salt
  • 1 small beetroot
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice OR apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil flax, or linseed oil
  • paprika to sprinkle
Directions
  1. Gradually add olive oil, flaxseed oil, or a combination of both as you blend or mix the sunflower seeds into a paste.
  2. Scrape the sides of the bowl often, and give it an extra minute or so once itโ€™s smoothly blended, so the cheese will be as creamy as possible.
  3. Mix in the beet, salt, lemon juice, and brewers yeast. Use a bowl or mold to shape the form into a round and serve with paprika sprinkled on top.
