Author Notes

Sweet and sticky this jam will blow you away if you are a fan of dates. Sugars are grounding for airy and firey types known in Ayurveda as Vata and Pitta dosha.

This smooth and sweet treat we call “restorative jam” makes a wonderful breakfast spread. High in magnesium and fiber and several essential minerals including copper, iron, manganese, magnesium, and selenium all super important for strength in your bones, blood, support the nervous system.

Eat it with toast or on millet porridge and store it for a week in the fridge or longer. Also great to add to bedtime milk drinks for added replenishment. —Amrita Ma Devi
