Author Notes
The cute little Filipinx calamansi is a small citrus fruit which has blended notes of orange, lemon, and lime, which is a perfect addition to a Thanksgiving cranberry sauce. If you, like me, aren’t lucky enough to be able to pick fresh calamansi from your garden, bottles of calamansi juice can be found in online stores. —Kevo Rivera
Ingredients
-
12 ounces
fresh cranberries, divided
-
⅓ cups
calamansi juice
-
1 teaspoon
vanilla
-
¼ cups
sugar
-
2
cinnamon sticks
-
coarse kosher salt
Directions
-
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 8oz cranberries, calamansi juice, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Simmer until cranberries burst and sauce thickens, stirring frequently and crushing some tender cranberries against the walls of the pan.
