Author Notes

Calling all the coconut lovers out there! Coquito directly translates into "little coconut", and that's exactly the taste we are looking for this holiday season. Coquito is a traditional Puerto Rican drink that is typically had during the Christmas season.

However, what makes this recipe so special is Ron del Barriilito Two Stars. Anyone can make a Coquito, but it's the rum that makes it truly special. I've tried this recipe with many different brands of rum, and there is a clear winner. Ron del Barriilito Two Stars is the only rum I'll be drinking going forward. —Emily Smith
