I had to come back and make an addendum to my initial review. I had some leftover polenta and sauce from this recipe and reheated it up along with some freshly sautéed shrimp and now I have second thoughts about this recipe for sure! I would definitely make it again but I would do it the way we enjoyed it the second time around. Shrimp definitely holds up against this sauce a lot better than scallops do. I will continue to enjoy my scallops seared and served on a bed of pea sprouts and lettuces and will keep this recipe on file for a very fancy shrimp and grits Sunday brunch!!!!

I’m the type of person who can’t understand why people dip their seafood in butter. IMO seafood should be eaten in its rarest form with nothing heavy to mask its beautiful flavors. Nonetheless, injustice prepared this recipe and while it was pretty good I don’t think I would make it again. It was just too heavy for my liking.

This was fantastic; thank you. The polenta was awesome. I used the leftover polenta the next day with fried eggs; also great! The sauce was a little too loose, but that was likely my fault (I'm trying it again this weekend). And great call on having your prep done up front, that helped a lot. Thank you again.
