Ingredients
- Lentils

brown lentils

3.5 cups
water

veggie broth
- tadka

onion

1 tablespoon
ginger

1 tablespoon
garlic

turmeric (a finger)

green chilis -- I use jalapenos

.5 bunches
cilantro

.5 pints
tomatoes

1 teaspoon
garam masala
Directions

Make the lentils, kiddos.

While making the lentils, lightly brown the onions.

Smoosh and chop the garlic, the ginger, and the turmeric. Toss 'em into the the tadka.

Once everything gets fragrant, bloom the garam masala for a few beats, then throw in the tomatoes and chilis

Combine all that business with the lentils, then use a hand mixer to achieve the right consistency.
