Author Notes

So simple, and so good. Maybe not a recipe, more of a technique. Toasting the nuts makes all the difference. You can soak your nuts overnight prior to preparing the butter, if desired. —ixpalow

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 2 cups raw walnuts
  • 2 cups raw pecans
Directions
  1. Place the nuts in a baking dish or sheet lined with parchment paper. Set oven to 350F and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the nuts are fragrant and toasted but not burned.
  2. Move the nuts to a room temperature container to cool for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Add nuts to a food processor or powerful blender (I used my Vitamix) and blend until smooth. You can set aside some of the nuts and pulse them in at the end to give the butter a crunchier texture. Add salt as desired.
