Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons Cardamom
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 1/2-7 cups flour
Directions
  1. Heat milk to lukewarm dissolve yeast
  2. In large bowl beat eggs and sugar until foamy. Add milk, cardamom 2 C. flour beat on medium speed X2 minutes until smooth and elastic. Stir in butter, salt and enough flour until can kneed. Kneed until smooth and shiny.
  3. Put in greased bowl and let rise. Divide, braid in 3 loaves let rise again. Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with sugar and almonds bake in 375 degree oven for 20-30 minutes.
