Author Notes

One of the well known beer snacks in Beijing is the numbing-spicy peanuts. They are badly addictive: fried peanuts with a salty numbing kick. For entertaining this year, I've adapted the recipe to be healthier and just as tasty. Oh how I miss Beijing. Happy Chinese New Year! —FrancesRen

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 2 cups peanuts (or mixed nuts)
  • 1 tablespoon chinese chili oil sauce (like Lao Gan Ma ????
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
