Cakes, meet Chelsea, a Food52 blue.

Mosser Glass is a family-owned company in Cambridge, Ohio making beautiful glass pieces from vintage molds since 1970. We’ve been huge fans of theirs for years, and their creations have been some of our best-loved, by you and us! Their pink, green, and grey glass gets us all googly-eyed, but we were itching for something to call our very own. So we asked nicely, and Mosser agreed to let us have our own exclusive color! We were beyond flattered, this being the first time ever that Mosser has mixed up a special color for anyone. We dreamt up a glossy, not-too-bright, not-too-deep blue and you helped us pick out the name Chelsea, after our neighborhood in New York City. Picture our cake stand at the center of your table, the blue sky to clouds of fluffy white frosting-ed cupcakes. Note that because each piece is hand-crafted, swirls and slight color variations are totally normal and actually made them extra one-of-a-kind.
